Seller descriptions and their meanings

"It's an honest Landy"
There's no hiding the fact that it is knackered

"This one is not hiding anything"
See above

"This Land Rover will last you for ever"
It will take forever to decay back to nature at the back of your drive/garden/barn

"It passed the MOT with only one advisory"
The advisory was to scrap it

"It flew through the MOT"
After l slipped the guy £200

"It has a few age related dents"
It looks like it was attacked with a lump hammer

"Original paintwork"
Apart from the bits that flaked off. And the bonnet. Oh, and the doors....

"It's a Station Wagon"
It is now l've pop riveted two Britpart side windows in plus a couple of cheap bench seats

Might have found one, put a deposit on it but not collected it yet.

Also found a nice one at a dealer near Bolton.
 
Haha I was lucky when I got mine, she's tatty but chassis is good and mechanical sound. I would have bought any old landy though as I wanted one so bad. You're doing the right thing waiting for a good one! :)
 
Found someone wanting to do a deal on my disco for 1990 110 that is 'completly rust free has never been welded and i wont find one cleaner' but when i questioned him about rust it now has holes in the floor plates !
