hi guys i noticed yesterday that my disco was leaking water/coolant . i popped the bonet and the bleed screw on the top of the radiator had popped off leaving the threaded part in the housing which i have now removed. i have read a few threads and it seems i need a 1/2" domestic brass replacement. once i have it, is it just a case of ticking the enginge over until no air runs out and then fitting the new screw or is it more complex???

cheers:confused:

get two as you need to undo one one thermostat housing to bleed coolant system and feel rad all over core surface once up to temp if its not hot all over it needs replacing

agree with above if you go to local diy store and get 2 1/2 bsp brass blanking plugs problem sorted lol dont buy the cheaper s/c steel ones as tend to oxidize when put in to ali castings causing them to crack the ali when you have to remove them

hope that makes sense ???
