I have never had a problem getting any breakages replaced by snap-on. I wait until they have what I want on offer before I buy it. I even tell my snap-on bloke what I want and he lets me know when an offer kicks in.

Can't get fairer than that.

my tool kit was all metric until i got my landy,i went around boot sales and picked up a load of gedore, elora and king dick sockets and spanners for peanuts, they seem to be pretty hardy.
picked up a nice imperial adjustable as well.

i recently bought a set of kingdick ratchet spanners cos of the old king dick tools i have. cant say if they are as tough as the old kingdick yet but i can say they are a lot more expensive. wish i had gone for the britool range as they are half the price !

well boys between me and my dad we've got mac tools and snap on and facom and britool and draper and elora and sealy and i say the better quality in the feel and use is snap on and mac and facom , my snap on dealer is good with us hes always changing stuff, even if we chip chrome off he will replace it, mac is abit cheaper but then its up to you what you buy , but i will say this i will always buy snap on and mac, as for power tools dewalt and makita and bosch and sparky are the best we have got thousands of pounds worth of tools and neither of them tools have let us down over the years

Have a look at bergens website, I have had a number of their tools and have no complaints at all bergen tools uk

Bergen's good for home use, but not for trade. Snap on use to be best now there getting worse quality and funny with there warranty. I have a mix of snap on britool mac etc, some are netter than other for one tool than the other but snap on is so expensive

Have a look at bergens website, I have had a number of their tools and have no complaints at all to date I have never split a Bergen socket or a sykes pickavant socket or a King Dick socket but I Have split Snap on sockets and they haven't been replaced... bergen tools uk

Sykes pickavant, good too. Industry never used snap on, think they used protool.

Oh bollocks, just went downstairs to check the make and it seems that I put my 3/8 drive socket rail somewhere, somewhere safe..........
Very safe.............

Bahco for spanners and sockets, never had one break.
old skool stuff like king dick for any imperial stuff, geodore ok but have had issues with fit, facom not so good now, ditto snap on, seem to be cashing in on their reputation.
power tools, Makita not so good anymore, Hitachi getting better, especially with the cost, Milwakee drills have crap batteries but the mains stuff is good.
airtools, Ingersoll Rand fecking awesome if you can afford it,
