In case this helps anyone else, we recently had a problem where the brake lights were on all the time.
The brake light switch appeared to be loose, but I couldn't see how it came out to inspect it?
You need to remove the black hall sensor next to it and the base of the sensor first to allow room to turn the brake switch anti clockwise about a third of a turn whilst holding the brake pedal down to make it easier, it can be a bit fiddly.
Cleaning and testing the switch it seemed fine so I reinstalled it, but still the lights were on, after a bit of fiddling around I realised the switch is very sensitive to adjustment and needs to be set tight against the back of the pedal, all sorted now, but I understand they are temperamental and there is a modified switch and harness which is better
