my brake lights stopped working, i checked the bulbs and fuse and all ok.
I bought a new brake switch took it out of the box and pressed it a few times just to see if it was different to my old one.
Fitted it and my brake lights are stuck on now, if i take the switch off and operate it by hand it works great.
so, The peddle does not come up far enough to press the switch in far enough to switch the lights off! The switch body cannot sit any further towards the peddle.
I have since read that these are self setting---
Have i messed it up by pressing it before i installed it meaning that it has set itself in the wrong position?
Can i fix this?
Am i missing something?
ive never done one before so maybe there is a simple trick!
