Changed the steering column to the correct way round this avo, made sure wheels were pointing ahead but for obvious reasons there was no point marking where the uj's aligned with the splines as they weren't going back the same way! collapsible joint no longer fouls on the inner wing and the steering is as normal as i think its going to be. From a previous thread about having stiff and notching steering, i can report back that you boys were right on the money with the uj's causing the problem, both top and bottom were as stiff in one direction, as your cock in the morning 
They soon freed up with some GT 85, so im now a happy bunny ! Just loads of other bits to sort before the MOT next month!
