Ripped all the back out today, only had the car a short while, not got it on road yet. Was removing the dickie seats and belts...

Also have a puddle in the passenger footwell, ripped the carpet and sound proofing out (literally), big rusty puddle, im unsure what it is as the header was empty when i bought the car, got two kettles in it, seems to be holding at the midway point of the header tank, but i really wont know till i drive the bugger, exhaust fumes are clean, no smoke.. Runs nicely.. Dried the puddle and hoovered the ****e, poured water all over windscreen and in the scuttle, under the bonnet etc, nothing coming through..

Look at this for an original floor!

Mine leaks by the windscreen in one corner but you've tested that so should be OK. There are a couple of rubber bungs in the footwell and mine started to rust around those, so maybe worth checking.

jammy sod... this was my boot floor!

I'd look around the wing and bungs as well, I had a hole in mine until i packed it with filler lol.

I've done the same today looked at my boot floor seems good but then looked at the wheel arches that's where the holes are. Just need to patch all mine as well. Your boot floor looks great though for a original as well.

Found the leak, was near the scuttle drain hole, where water had been sitting, cleaned the area, and the passenger floor, ground all the rot off, (wasnt too bad) and hammerited it, hammerited the scuttle area, filled the hole with silicone, fibreglassed over it then painted it with hammerite again. Looks fairly water tight. Will do anyway, stop the rot at least. Cheers fellas!

Thanks mate, yeh, my front inner arches are rotted around the plastic arch liner fixing points, not too bad though, ive just ground the rot off, hammerited it all and fixed the liner with self tappers and washers, only because ive got no welding wire, no sheet metal and no money!

Well, i got the missus to pour the water while i checked inside, she obviously missed the scuttle because thats where the leak was. Thats women for ya..
