Series 3 Bonnet Mounted Spare Lock Post

I have a Series 3 SWB with a deluxe bonnet. I am trying to remove the lock post for the spare as I have moved the spare to the rear. I can see two bolts which I can loosen to an extent but cannot remove further is there a way to remove these or do I have to take off the complete mount, which I want to keep on.

The optional parts catalogue shows the bolts are fitted into a Nutsert if this is turning it will not come off .
Drill through centre of bolt to remove its head then cut whats left off flush.

No I don't sorry, that was one of the reasons I took it off.

I have 'one' you can have. I found it in the dash. Also have two bolts. The wheels I have are a bit deep so the original bolts wont reach.

Hell fire, nine quid a pops a bit rich.

Have you seen how much they are on ebay? £9 is cheap compared to that.
