Hi
Weird Series 3
My bonnet will not close. Replaced the slam plate and lever but the rod from the bonnet is still 4-5 mm to the right and there’s no play to line up. I’ve loosened the bonnet hinges. There’s a rubber bush missing from behind the rear bonnet edge - any thoughts helpful. Feels like the bonnet is twisted - but no crash

Can you not put a suitable tube over it and lean it a little to the left ?

When you say: rubber bush missing from rear, do you mean the rubber spacer on the hinges. I was having some trouble with my bonnet at one time, I found the back edge on one side was lower than the other, it had actually started to rub though the wing. It turned out that one of the hinges that fixes to the bonnet was bent out of line. I replaced the rubber spacers and bent it back to shape, bonnet shut fine after that.

Have a look at the front wings and radiator panel. Sounds like they have slipped out of alignment.
To be fair they ain’t attached to much at the front.
