the rangerover is a brilliant motor ............................when its running right :) this evening though on my way home from work the eas decided to have a funny un ! the light on the dash started flashing in high mode and it gradually increased in hieght until it was at absolute maximum , and the compressor was still running , so i pulled over and unpluged the compressor to stop it and drove home ( 3 miles ) at about 25 mph has anyone got any idea`s please ?? i am thinking maybe the max pressure switch has failed , what ever it is i need to sort it asap , opreating the up / down switch on the dash will alter the mode but not the actual ride hieght thanks in anticipation :) .
i forgot to add its a p38a 4.6 , also just found that the compressor is running non stop even when the ignition is turned off ???????????????? the only way to stop it is to unplug it .

thanks nick but its now sorted , this morning i took it to a freind of mine who very kindly stuck it on testbook , as it had gone into hard fault.
it turned out to be the compressor relay that had failed sending a constant feed to the compressor irrespective of whether the ignition was on or off , the down side of it was during my 1 hr drive home and the compressor running non stop it buggered up my new compressor   , but on the bright side he produced a very good s/h one which i fitted and was back up and running in a flash :) .
