had a problem with the side lights on my series 3 as one side worked whilst the other had the brake light lit instead...a bt of head scratching as they worked until i did some body whacking:D...was told it could be dodgy earths etc so i got a couple of lucas connectors and checked everything....turned out it was the bulb:mad:....as i work in a body shop we have access to all bulbs so i replaced every bulb but i did not realised they are 2 types of stop/tail bulbs, we have those where the locating pins are off set to each other where as the landy takes the opposite type pins:D.....drove me nuts....
now i think the master cylinder may need replacing as i noticed a puddle....i presume its a dual line version with servo but not sure which one to go for as paddocks have them but different prices.....then i road tested it and drives brilliantly but no speedo:(

surely thats the fun of series landy's!! speedo cable is an easy fix, the cable connects to the transfer box under the middle seat and then loops round to the speedo, new ones arn't too expensive.

eletrics are a pain with dirty earths, i had to clean loads last time i did a coupe bulbs! but thats the fun, having a 2 minute job turn into a fookin bastid!! :D heh

Interesting that paddocks have the same part number listed twice but at different prices. You could see what number is stamped on yours and compare?

And yeah, never expect a small job to be a small job. You would think taking a leaf spring off would be easy wouldn't you? No chance, didnt want to budge!

Do the numbers have a different letter on the end, or even one of them have finish with a full stop? This can signify the origin, Genuine, OEM, pattern etc.
