Hi guys, how can i get a pic of me landy on my avatar, but remove the number plate - for obvious reasons.

Any help gratefully accepted from a relative technophobe.

silly question but why blank out the plate,,id theft, easy to trace were ya vehicle is,,but cant any toe rag get the plate when ya driving down street?????or is it a case of limiting the possibilities.best regards all.nunny

Dnt see the point in blanking it on any pics??

You drive around all day long with it, park it up in public places.

What difference does it make?

If someone wants to copy your plates, they are more likly to take a quick piccy when its park in a car park, or even nick the real plates.

than trawl the internet looking for a Blue, 1994 Defender to match their stolen one.....

this often come up with photographers. I never blank out the plates - makes the image look crap to start with.

Nunny/Bear/Poah,

I understand what you're saying, and maybe I am being overly cautious, but I would rather some idiot didn't see my no plate on here and use it on the next one they steal, Mine is a 50th anniversary edition with the limited edtn colour, so they would be more likely to trawl on here for plates to clone, rather than any other colour, which may be seen more commonly driving about.

Also I would prefer them not to know what I have/haven't done to her, and the overall condition of her, as I feel it could make her a target.

I would feel awful if I found some poor sod had tried to steal her and been half eaten by the dogs, it would cost me a feckin fortune in Rennies..:D

best take the number plates off the motor, just incase some one sees em.
Ps Itd be easy to trake ya Ip address, come round yer house and nick the whole motor.Best not post any pics at all. Or words. Or go online at all. Or take yer eye off the motor ever....
