I went out in the 90 today. Went down a greenlane and about 4 miles after the lane on the road as i turned right out of a juntion there was a very loud clunk/clonk from the front left of the defender. So pulled up and inspected and could find nothing loose so carried on home. Then as I went round a roundabout it happened again. Then when I just got home it happened turning left. Finally as I pulled into the drive it happened again and this time it started to grate. When it happens there is a kick through the steering wheel and only happens when turning out of junctions. I am thinking it could be the wheel bearing. But what do you guys think?
Cheers Eddy

front diff maybe

Diff lock was not on. Also it does give a little clunk when you depress the clutch to change gear.
