BF Goodrich AT Tyres - TD-5

No doubt this has been covered before but I’ve done a search and didn’t have any luck.

My latest quote today was £158 per corner from ATS.
Two questions…

1. What’s the most common / recommended size to run on a 16” TD-5?
2. What’s the average price on these most excellent tyres?

Cheers,

John.

Hi John question 1:- 235/70/16 or 255/65/16 are the LR recommended sizes.

I am trying to find some GG AT2's in 255/60/18 but can only find one so far. I'm getting to the point where I swap the 18's for a set of 16" just to get some choice of tyre. The AT2 was the only 50/50 tyre I knew of in that size, and now it looks as though they are not going to make it anymore. The new AT just doesn't look up to the job.

Anyone know where I can find 2 or 4 AT2's? Everyone seems to be out of stock.

Is there any particular reason why you are trying to find the non-std size of 255/60/18? The std size is 255/55/18.

The lack of availability is not too much of a surprise as loads of peeps bought them in preparation for winter.

Helluva long way for you to go for tyres I know but just to say I got a set of BFG AT 235/85 R16's fitted to my Defender by RCP in Great Milton (oxfordshire) - just off M40 junc 7 at £145 each.

I ordered them on the thursday and they were fitted friday. Appreciate it's different rim sizes from what you guys been looking for and that could be the issue on the availability perhaps but I was expecting a tough time getting them and it turned out to be no problems at all. Another company quoted £150 per tyre and next day availability too.

i'm after a pair of bfg at's 225/75 r16 for my 300tdi..
can you help at all???
pretty please.....

Hi Nick, is there a particular reason why you are not fitting std size tyres on your TDi 300. The reason I ask is that there is a movement across Europe in relation to MOT's that all cars should have ONLY the manufacturer recommended size of tyre.

It's already law in Germany, coming into law this year in France so it's only a matter of time before the UK falls into line.
