Hello all. I've recently made the move from my beloved LR 90 to a disco 2a. COMFORT. .
it's got a 2 inch lift but still has standard bumpers.im looking to fit bigger tyres for off roading with the kids. I've see a good price on maxxis bighorn 265/70r16 and was wondering if anyone has uses this size tyre and if they will rub etc. I dont really want to cut bumper etc..
Or could I go 265/75r16????
Would be grateful for any advice.

I run 255/70R16 on my p38 which are fine. I almost went for the 265/70r16, but the gain is quite small (1/2") and they cost more when I was looking.

A 245/75R16 is similar height and more narrow, which might be beneficial on some UK terrain, plus reduce the risk of rubbing.

A 265/75R16 is pretty big, about as tall as a 235/85R16 but wider. Both are standard sizes on a Defender. On stock D2 rims I'd suspect you'd lose some steering lock and rub the radius arms on full lock with these.
