Best oil

Sup people. Noob question I got a 2003 freelander v6 2.5 3 doors

well my question is I'm about to change my oil once again ( I change it every 1000 miles ) what's the best engine oil and what weight should I use?? Thanks again

1,000 ? I knew it's fuel consumption was bad but I didn't realise it costs a lot in oil as well. Did you mean 10,000?

Modern engine oils should last 10,000 miles or twelve months, changing at 2,000 is just a waste of money and energy. When I had a new MGB I used Duckhams, when the oil was no longer green I changed it, no way now.
