Hello gents;
i have decided to replace the broken plastic thing that sits behind the glass in the tailgate upper window,and wow a wire that gives power to the tailgate useless light was rubbing on the tailgate frame behind the plastic upon opening and closing the tailgate for some time now and broke the insulator,then when replacing this piece pf crap plasit the wire touched the metal and ow joy bbq smell inside the console under the passenger seat,checked the small fuse box and no power to fuse 15,the becm is toasted at least a part of it,you will say how there is fuse a 20 amps one,but the damn fuse was defective and didn't cut the power,it just melted the plastic of the fuse without cutting the wire metal in it.
Now no interior lights and the tailgate wont open unless i press the interior light button even if it doesn't come on,no light in the tailgate (i know it is useless anyway),i wish i didn't replace this broken plastic (dunno wht it is called sometimes there is a middle brake light in it in newer models),remote sometimes work sometimes no,but strangely the rear wiper is working although it takes power through fuse 15,somethings work some no related to this fuse 15.
So gents i guess most of you know but in case no body thought of it,bye your fuses from a good supplier or test every damn fuse before puting it,how i dunno.
So thank you fuse company,you have costed me a becm surgery and an entire day of leaving it in the garage plus the fees of my transportation.
