Fitted some Bearmach blue HD springs to my disco 300tdi a while ago - part numbers BA2103 and BA2104

Everythings fitted properly and working fine but after settling down its a good 10mm lower atleast on the O/S than the N/S ( yes its on flat ground ;) ).

Are the springs handed/sided?? Ive looked about and not got a definate answer but i cant see what else it can be?

Or any ideas as to what it could be making it lean? Tyres are all the same all round, all pressures ok, everythings fitted ok, ARB droplinks look ok.

:(

The springs are brand new a week or so ago so hopefully not the springs fault. as are the shocks.

i know some disco ones are handed as standard but nobody seems to know about the bearmach ones.

oh and i meant HD in the title not dh

i just told you bearmach springs arent handed they are the same both sides it is not unkown even with genuine parts to have fulty ones thats life its probably just 1 needed to drop one side

ok thanks.

in that case where do i stand with it as a bought them from a reputable place online and i doubt they will want to know about it now they have been used and will just say it wont be the springs?

you could remove both rears and compare should be same hieght exactly same with front and explain whatever is no longer right hieght so faulty unless other fault on truck

Hi
I have just fitted new springs to my 1996 300TDi and noticed that the rear springs had tighter coils at the top, I only noticed this after I had put one in then checked the side I had not changed yet which was standard and original, the standard spring had tighter coils at the top so I had to turn the replacement one around.

I thing it is something to do with a progressive spring action on the spring as I have seen the same on progressive fork springs fitted on my motorcycle.
If the spring is in upside down then the spring will be softer on one side that the other giving it more sag.

Good luck.

PS. And before anyone comments, my Disco was on axle stands with no weight on the axles and springs fully extended.:D
