For a definative answer, look at the Hawkey site, all can be passed to a new owner as far as I'm aware for a fee.Selling my P38 so have a Bearmachs HawkEye collecting dust. I know the code I put in was for the P38 but is it locked to the model or the vin.
So if I sell it as a HawkEye locked to a P38 will it work on other P38's ?
It's ambiguous, it say's one model not one VIN, implying you can use on any car of the same model. Either way it also say's it can be unlocked.
As far as i am aware it works on one vehicle group. But according to some if you want it to work on the entire range with all the different adaptors and unlock codes it will cost you a lot of gold bars. Don't know if this is correct or not.
Bearmach Hawkeye Pro Diagnostic Tools at www.rimmerbros.co.uk That is the Pro model though.
