Hi,
Want to fit two batteries into battery compartment of my series 90 and been looking at the trays so they can be clamped properly.
the prices I've been quoted are £45 + . Has anyone good a better source or ideas they have used?
cheers
Andy

Threaded rod, drill a hole in the bottom of the battery box and big washer and nut either side, up onto a bar (thats sitting across the batterys and cannot short them in any way.

Also, make sure your battery box is solid enough first of all. I put in some heavy duty glass fibre matt and poured in fibreglass resin, the base of mine was rusted but not the sides and now its solid as a rock.

I Fabricated a battery box for my batterys out of small angle from b and q was about £15 or £20. Mine has a hinged clamp on the top that clamps the batterys in place with an 8mm nut and large washer going over both batteries. Its bolted through the floor with 4 x 8mm bolts that are welded to the frame. Jai

Thanks guys,
Great ideas probably do a combination of the two as I like the idea of fibre glass as the bottom of the battery compartment looks abit suspect.
cheers Andy

I know I have a series landie, but the principals are the same. I used some 10mm threaded rod, some angle iron and some thick steel. £20 for angle iron - crikey I'd expect to get several yards of it for that! Did mine out of bits of scrap.
