auto park problem

hi all, i hope someone my be able to help. sometimes when i select park om my 300 tdi instead of holding i get a clicking & the vehicle will move. can the park function be adjusted or replaced easily, i know auto boxes can be a nightmare but i wonder if anyone has had the same problem.

cable can be adjusted on lhs of box also check were cable is clamped to mounting,it clicks as park is a pawl that is pushed into a toothed wheel in rear most housing of box

Hi, I have the same problem so please could someone post a bit more detail on adjustment - from above or below? How to get the cable tension right, etc.

undo cable at box places selector in cab in p then pull lever on box side fully forward to p then tighten cable

Thanks jamesmartin, I'll have a look underneath tomorrow to see if I can locate the cable and actuator adjuster. Don't suppose you or anyone else has any photos of the bit to adjust?

lever in park, selector in park and re- tighten.
