I ended up putting car to get auto box oil changed.
Now found out they just removed oil and filled new but never done level test and there was auto oil all over place. Now my worry is by amount of oil that over car .

To check oil now do I just get temputure laser and take readings of engine running and remove filler plug to get to temp we engine still running
Remove level plug? Till pours out???

Will auto oil not fly out filler hole if engine running??

get the engine warm or hot is better park it up and go through all of the gears 3 times then put it in park and wait a couple of minutes then dip it.

Hi would it not be better to park it up.let oil get between 35 to 45 oc then open valve
Just wondering if I put laser thermometer down hole where oil filler cap goes while engine running.

If you have an infrared thermometer, then simply point it at the auto box, bottom casing, next to the drain plug. I use 40°C as the casing is going to be a couple of °C cooler than the fluid. Make sure you undo the correct bolt too, or you can inadvertently stuff up reverse gear.

Hi if oil low. Do u switch of engine or keep running pour in till it flows out level plug . Do i need to heat oil Again to 40 oc???

The engine must be running while the level bolt is out. Also before topping up, cycle through all gear positions. This ensures that all air is out the system, so fluid level will be correct.
