Auto gearstick gaiter change

Hi all.
Managed to remove gearstick and trim from console but for the life of me i cant work out how old gaiter is released from between plastic. It appears to be sealed between 2 layers of plastic ? Its a freelander 1 facelift on a 54 plate.

And it depends on what year Freelander you have as the surrounds are different.

No success unfortunately with upload. Its an 04 facelift with the "oblong" base gaiter in the circular trim .

The gaiter is trapped between the upper and lower plates. The plates need to be separated so the replacement gaiter can be fitted. Some ingenuity will be needed to reattach the plastic components together again. Glue would be my choice of reattachment medium
