The clutch has started slipping on my car, it's on 142,000 miles and as far as i'm aware never been changed.

Just looking at buying the parts to replace it and there seems to be loads of clutch kits to choose ranging from £60 to ~£120. Are there any makes to avoid for the TD4 models? Any recommendations for makes?

Hi Gibbo

Every piece of literature I've read states that the plate, cover and dual mass flywheel, and even the master and slave cylinders, should be changed!! No expert on this, but I'm sure others will confirm or deny this. Having a TD4 myself, I'm saving like crazy for that moment

Hi Crockett,

I forgot to mention I was going to replace the slave as well and I've ordered a DMF from ebay. Hopefully I'll be able to find a garage close by to fit it all for a sensible price.
