"British Parts" in Stevenage. NOT "Brit Part".
Never have I come across such a bunch of plonkers, they won't be getting any of my hard-earned.

I wanted a part, so I phoned them, being local, I thought I'd pop over and buy it. Simple water pump. The lad who answered the phone said "I dont do directions", put me through to a ring-tone that wasnt answered. Charitably, I assumed he is a bit "special", so I looked up the street and went there
"I'd like xyz please",
eventually the fat old git huffed and puffed his way around to finding one, it all seemed a big deal to him
"Stick yer card in there". No please sir or any of that nonsense.
I opened the box - wrong part.
Did he go to get the other style off the shelf > of course not, "we dont do guessing" was his statement, and turned to the next customer, who didnt look overly impressed.
I can see who is influencing the young lad.

Later that day, took the water pump to local land rover specialist garage, a mile from my house, told them the tale, they laughed - "dont go there !. The attitude you get !. We wont use them"

Neither will I.

Who to ?
If the owner thinks its OK to have people like that representing his business - representing him - whats the point.

Indeed steveyorks.

Just had fantastic advice and expertise from Paddocks.
They managed to identify parts from a verbal description, gave me a lot of pointers, phoned me back 3 times, passed me on to others (each individual sems very knowledgeable in one landy product, some are encyclopedias of parts numbers )
I'm impressed
Will be placing an order soon, just when Ive checked over a few more bits. Wont have difficulty getting it over £50 for free postage.

Another of those places where for customers, nothing is too much trouble.

And indeed, it is even too much trouble for them to do nothing! :) :)
