Well I managed to get a lift back to Notts with a mate, left the FL on dad's drive :(. Not sure what to do with it now, I'm going to take a few days away from thinking about it. But at this point I'm 100% sure they flaw is in the wiring connections, no way they sent another duff controller it just isn't possible.

will been thinking the same today but we did get feeds and good earths on the right pins. When we checked the connecting block. Can you rig unit up to a bench set up live earth switch for ingnition then borrow meter to test output. You might be better taking loom for it out and lenghten wires so you can sit unit on seat and try it. unit only has live, earth ignition, warning led then outputs. the only thing we did not fully check was the temp sensor, but that should no stop power up.

Don't worry ewer pretty ickle heads I int beaten yet ;).

Mate of mine reckons she can borrow a flatbed recovery transit for a day, we just need to pay for the fool. That could work well!

You will most likely need a plated weight of above 5.5 ton (preferably abover 6.5 ton) to legally carry a freelander.

Bit like the big fecker that brought me there in the first place then. Feck. Hmm maybe have another crack at repairing it in situ.
