I wouldn't say different league - I'd say different. The P38 feels like a comfy Land Rover. The L322 feels more like a car to drive. I prefer the P38 (as long as the steering isn't shot!) as it has character, the L322 would win hands down round a racetrack but the rock hard seats and jiggly ride can get annoying on longer runs IMHO. Of course - even the newest P38s are now very old cars - you can't buy one and expect it to be reliable - it might be if you're lucky but it's just luck none-the-less.

Question for you......have you ever owned or even driven a P38?

Odd that for a £70K car, wifes 1984 Renault 11 is reliable has had the best part of buggerall spent on it over the years and has moon rocket kilometres on it Even the headlining is still in place

But then when I was buying and selling I saw plenty of knackered Renault 9s and 11s when they were only a few years old - the "executive" Renault 25 and Safrane were awful for reliability - you couldn't give 'em away. I'm surprised the P38 works at all electronically - considering the electronics are very much late 70s early 80s with year 2000 ambitions when it comes to capability!
