Is there anyone out there offering install of modern media units?
Any and all info appreciated.
I would love to have this done on my 2007 FL2

It depends on the system currently installed, as to what you can fit later on.
Unfortunately like most modern vehicles, the higher spec units are integrated into various vehicle modules, meaning removing the original HU causes other items in the vehicle to stop working or give error codes or audible warnings when starting.

...and also the comments and threads in LRZ forum re: compatibility.

Depending on the trim level of your 2007 FL2 you can fit one at home. These Xtrons units look pretty good (no experience myself). The Xtrons site has the units and the wiring harnesses to add in. The video above has an extra mod to dim the screen at night and the OP of the video was quick to respond to my comment on YouTube.
Good luck!

That Chinese Xtrons unit still connects to the factory audio system via the AUX port. It's a reasonable replacement for the factory nav (which works but is an old technology unit now), however the Xtrons nav voice comes from a separate small speaker, rather than through the cars audio system.
