Well were do i start........
Ive had my 99 freelander di for a cople of weeks now and every so often the engine management light would flick on every so often and would loose power but if i took my foot off the accelerator and then put it back down again the light would go off and power would be restored

BUT.........!

Just as we set off for a 2 and a half hour drive home the engine management light came on and did not go off so we had to drive 250 miles in a freelander with a big power loss:doh:

When the light was intermitent i checked all the turbo pipes to no avail so now im stumped

Ive read previous threads but cant find any having the same problem some similar.......

also im borrowing th father in-laws fault code reader tomorrow does anyone know if a OBDI reader will work on the freelander 1

Any help will be much appreciated

also forgot to mention that its ticking over at 1k now so rnning a bit fast and also 'chuggs' abit when setting off

If you need any parts, I am breaking an L-series diesel. Have most engine parts still available
