Hello folks, turns out my range rover, after a time of no faults has decided to baffle me and others.

Was leaving the house to go to the airport to go back to work, and leave my range rover parked for a few weeks at home, hit the lock button on the fob and was about to walk out the door when the alarm went off, lights flashing etc etc. Opened the car with the fob, alarm didn't stop, opened the door and put the key inside - all quiet, locked again, 30 seconds later alarm off again, this continued for a while, took it for a bit of a drive, same story. Ended up leaving it unlocked at my parents house to stop the alarm going off.

No low battery warning on dash, starts fine, had just come back from the airport where it had sat for two weeks, with no issues when I came back. Checked bonnet sensor. Needles to say it's a bit frustrating, I'm in the middle of the desert far away! Dad got it plugged in and said 3 sensors were appearing as faulty, but the fault isn't being recorded as normal, so basically no one has any idea what is triggering it.

Any ideas? Were kinna stumped.

Is it a big range rover if so about that year of vehicle there was a bullentin stating alarm goes off for an unknown reason it tells you to look at the last known alarm trigger via sdd and if it shows a rear doown lock then it needa a software updat on the door modules.

basically upon locking and unlocking the car the rear doors throw up a unwanted state ie locking it will show unlocked and vise versa causing the alarm to go off.
