My TD5 has had a rear spring conversion. From reading various threads it seems that the green suspension fobs are coded to the individual Disco, thus rendering the remote pretty much useless to anyone else. However I just thought I'd check is this definitely the case? Is it of any use to anybody else if I have the bar code? (My Disco's handbook package has a couple of barcodes in it, presumably for ordering keys I thought). Can I use it for anything else - lucky charm dangling from the rear view mirror?

Thanks.

The fobs aren't themselves 'programmed'. The BCU is programmed to accept it, rather than the other way around.

Someone with nanocom should be able to code another BCU to accept it using the shorter barcode that will be printed on a sticker inside it.

Therefore, someone will be able to find it useful :)
