aftermarket immobiliser removal

Hi,
Anyone removed an aftermarket immobiliser? last owner disarmed it but still haves touch pad in the dash, flashing light, and the box of gubbins in situ. Is it can of worms i should not touch or an easy one???

easy removal, trace all wires, return to standard, most of the installers are stupid enough to not remove any decent length

so just trace all wires back and chop out? Job done?

reconnect the wires that have been chopped to put in the immob.
