This is my first message to the list. I am thinking in buy a Jeep
Grand Cherokee (92 - 96) or another 4x4.
I live in Winnipeg. I need advice about what to see and what vehicle
is the best (Vehicles with 150K miles in average).
Any advice will be very appreciate.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
If you're going to get a V8, that comes with the NP249 transfer case
which is an all-time 4x4 case, I'd recomond the 96-98 years because the
TC will lock in low gear. The previous years do not. Otherwise with the
I6, it has the NP242 which is a good all around selectable TC. Many 249
owners will swap in a 242. As far as milage, I've seen many reaching
200k miles will regular maintenance. Check out www.nagca.com for more
info on ZJs than you could ever use. I have a 98 and my brother also
bought a 98 becuase he like mine so much. Mine only has 95k miles and I
have never ever had a problem with it. You can see photos on my website.
Just an FYI, I think you may be confused about the years available, the
first grand cherokee (ZJ) debuted in 93 and ended in 98. The newer
ones(WJ) are 99-today.
