Hi guys hope you are all enjoying the last of the summer! I’m looking to repaint the rear floor on my landy 110 van as some of the paint has come off and looks grubby, just wondering can anyone recommend a good acid etch primer which doesn’t react with the paint as I don’t want to have to get it all back to bare metal, as I understand some etch primers don’t bond well with existing paint?

Worth a shot

Thanks in advance

I've been using autotek etch primer on Ali with good results .... and I know that @bankz5152 has done quite a bit of paintwork on his deafener too ;)

As for the weather - it's been bl@@dy awful today - raining cats and dogs all flippin day !! Summer ? Pah! not up here  :D

I used a tin of u-pol from halfords as I needed a can last sunday it didn't react with the paint......

How easy was it to remove the checker-plating? Mine is riveted into place.

Just drill the heads off the rivets & pull the plating off unless the last owner has used Sikaflex or the likes to seal it
then youl need to run a sharp knife ie Stanley, between the plating & panel then just punch out the remaining part
of the rivet in the panel.;)
