Hey all,

I have a Series 2 Discovery 2000 model TD5 and I just replaced my leaking ACE Solenoid Block (under driver's seat) with used one, still leaks where front pipes come in. Can you replace nilon bushes with O-rings in the centre of? Or how do I repair them?

Cheers.

You can end up spending a fortune and still end up with a leak - been there seen that done it - you might want to consider scrapping the ACE. It's a great system when it works, once you have problems they are a nightmare to resolve. Those washers are very expensive and the pipe has to locate without damaging them, virtualy imposible as the pipe does not have lateral movement. You can use normal O rings but I found it was probably wear on the seating, either way I tried dozens of tymes and got no seal. I even tries liquid PTFE with no joy.
If you do a search you will find loads of people that have scrapped the ACE.

Paul.
