ACE Amber light and leaking fluid

My ACE warning light has just come on. Red first so I stopped, turned off the engine and restarted and light stayed off for a few miles then came on amber.

Pulled over and checked the fluid level and it is down a little then noticed a leak under the right hand side at the front. Will be booking ti in at my local garage asp but any guesses as to what the issue may be?

Have also noticed a noise now from the front right, especially when going around a roundabout.

Thanks
Jerry

Yes, I know there is a leak......:)

But I am asking what the cause of the leak may be, are there any common issues? Is the pump knackered or just a seal/gasket?

Yeah the seals blow, the pipes corrode, all causing leaks.
Big problem is the pipes run around the engine, along the chassis rails to the rams at the from and back attached to the anti roll bars via a big valve under the O/SF door. The pipes are fitted in one piece at the factory, to replace you have to buy 1 of 6 IIRC and then attempt to seal them.
I had a leak on the back ram and rather than try and sort the thing as the pipes around the block looked to be getting past there best anyway I took the ACE out and replaced with normal Anti roll bars. Must say I noticed no difference.
The pipes cost a fortune to replace circa £100 each

when my ace started to leak i removed the drive belt and fitted a smaller one so the pump was disconnected, to be honest i never really noticed any difference, and it passed the mot test ok.

Help, urgent - I need help! (TD5 1999)because of a leak coming from two of the pipes from the ACE valve block, I am trying to drain the system so that I can seal it with a special silicon high pressure sealer.I live in Germany and where I am there is no Landrover help"! A mechanic has twice failed to seal it.The proble is this; in order to do this, the block must be dry and although I have emptied the reservoir and taken out the block filter,it is still very slowly dripping ace fluid, and this after three weeks. My question; What must I do to drain it completely dry? The silicon will not work while there is still oil coming out.Eventually I want the ACE system removed and replaced with a pully etc etc although there is nobody I know that can do this!
The silicon seal I have was reccomended by a Landrover expert from Berlin who has done this many times with success.

Why not ask your expert who had many successes.
Dont think it can be done.
How would you go about removing ALL oil from your engine without stripping completely and using specialist degreasing equipment?

Very urgent!!! 199 TD5. Hi! After monthsand months of leaking ace Problems i.e Leaking block and pipes. I have now recieved the Kit for replacing this bloody System.I have found a mechanic here in Germany who will try to sort this out for me but!!! Where can I find clear instructions as to what must be done? I have look almost verywere but cannot find the helpI need! I would have scrapped it except for the fact that last year I replaced the engine with a new one!
