So as per the title I've had the ABS & TC lights illuminate a couple of times now, usually when pulling away (slowly) from being parked off-road. Getting back on road then Switching the engine off/on clears them and they don't appear again on next trip or during the journey.
I'm thinking abs sensor (or damaged lead) and wondering if this may be the time I bite the bullet and butmy a nanocom rather than my only (due to mechanical experience) other option of taking it to the local specialist.

Thoughts?
I'm guessing the nanocom will show abs or tc faults and let me identify which wheel.
As its intermittent and not easy to replicate I'm thinking that a garage is likely to start replacing things "just in case".

Oh, just for info, no hill descent light comes on and no issues with air sus

Most likely an ABS sensor.
Not sure if a Disco is the same as as a P38 Range Rover but on the P38 the transducers can work their way out of their housings and sometimes all you need to do is push them back in fully.
Last time on mine this re-seating did not effect a cure but a nice new sensor fixed the issue immediately.

Thanks, I'm hoping it's something simple like that. Just need to figure out which wheel it is, hence thoughts on nanocom (there's plenty of other reasons for getting one but been putting it off till now as it's £400)

Look for someone local to you with one on the LZIR map that you can ask to read the codes and go from there.
My Nanocom told me exactly which sensor was doing all the dodgy input, made it very easy to resolve.

Hi Dan,
Although the Nanocom is deffinately a good purchase (and you'll have no trouble selling it if you get rid of the D2) try checking for play in the wheel bearings. I recently had the Amigos and it was my f/o/s bearing gone.
Sorry I'm too far away to plug it in.
Griff

I had intermittent amigos so I checked with my Lynx and it was giving a shuttle valve switch error. I did the 'mod B' fix and in the three weeks since have not had any repeat. Without using diagnostics to locate the error you could be expending a lot of effort. As someone says try to find someone local with a diagnostic unit.
