Hi all,

does anyone know or is able to point me in the right direction for the part number of an ABS sensor? (2001 V6 FL 1)
From Landrover they're £240, online they're about £130 and on eBay they seem to be £10 and up, so I just want to make sure I'm getting the right bit!

For info, ABS is triggering a lot at low speeds and I have the usual 3 amigos issue - I'm told I need to replace the sensor.

Thanks

If it's tripping in at low speeds it would imply that there is no signal from one , or more, of the sensors and that it's open circuit. This would simulate a locked up wheel to the ABS ECU.
If that is the case then you should be able to see if it is the sensor (s) by checking the ohmic values prior to buying any new parts.
Simply unplug each sensor lead from the loom ,2 in inner wings in engine bay and 1 each side inward and above each wheel , and using a digital multimeter check that you are getting circa 970 - 990 ohms .
You can also check the reluctor rings for damage or dirt by viewing them at the bottom of each drive shaft . There is a small open port that allows you to check that they aren't loose ,rusty or clogged up with muck . I blow them out regularily with an airhose.
