hi all
new to this site
i bought myself a freelander today
the car has not been driven for about 6mths
the handbrake was stuck on but released when moved back and forwards a few times
however the ABS light has stayed on ,anyone got any idea what could be causing this?
also is anything i should be checking before i put car back on the road
thanks in advance
barlee

without connecting it to t4 and reading the fault codes you wont be totally sure what the fault is but common ones are CAN bus faults, wheel speed sensors, accelerometer (lives by the handbrake lever) and the most common one is a faulty brake light switch.

yes bought it from a friend
have not driven it yet only started it
maybe light will go out when i drive it
paid £1500 for it 1998 67000 miles 1.8 petrol
did i do ok for my money
