Hey guys, I am about to take the plunge and buy my first Land Rover Discovery, I am a bit nervous about taking the plunge as funds are a bit tight. A friend of mine is offering me an X Plate TD5 2.5 Turbo diesel. The reason I am nervous is that it's 10 years old and previously, as a car owner it goes against the grain buying something so old.

The Disco has a full service history, is in immaculate condition but does have 130k miles on it. What would you guys expect to pay for one like this?

I need the Disco as I live out in the sticks and currently under 12" of snow, my BMW 3 Series just sits at the side of the road crying!

Any info or advice would be great to know.

Thanks
Chris

At the risk of shattering yr illusions I dont think 7" ground clearance of yr standard disco will cope with 12" of snow  ;)

No-one on here can say oh it'll be about £x cos we can't see it and have no idea of mileage etc.

However, if ya have a look at ebay/exchange and mart or any Landrover magazine you'll soon get an idea of what you can expect to pay.
