My mate just told me he saw my Beetle appear on tonight's episode of Antiques Roadtrip. I knew it would come up soon! Quite strange seeing Herbie on the silver screen!

I've just bought a '71 in boxes to restore :).
Between that and the RR some people might think i am a glutton for punishment. :D

BBC iPlayer - Antiques Road Trip: Series 6: Episode 12

They drove my baby through a ford! I never let her see a cloud, let alone a raindrop!

Yes, it is a sad time for me- forced to change my name. Here's to a new start!!!

Oh and Rodntod, Beetle's are reliable beasts- there is nothing to go wrong on them. Touch wood I have never had to change more than a spark plug on mine in three years! Oh and free road tax and £80 insurance a year!

That's 2 of the reasons i fell for it and the 3rd is an itch i just have to scratch :)

My girlfriend's dad put five or six cars through the agency- Rolls Royces, E types, Fiat 500 etc. All came back later than expected- but in fine condition. It's a gamble- but there are returns to be made
