Hello all,
My Wife and myself purchased a Freelander 2.0 Td4 Serengeti Hardback 3dr Auto Special 2003,

Car drives fine and looks in reasonable condition for its age, but and there is always a but,
being the auto it has the tiptronic box,
if I put the gear stick into tiptronic mode when stationary, I get the dreaded Flashing Amber HDC!
(with the exclamation mark) not sure of the importance of that, and also the F4 in the digital bit of the instrument panel,
this only happens when stationary in tiptronic everything works fine in normal auto or on the move..
I have read the manuals and been through many threads on the WWW,
lots of people have mentioned this in normal drive, but nothing in the tiptronic position,
has anyone had the same as me or is this the same thing as the others just in the tiptronic mode??
To be honest it only happens in tiptronic and we will never use it, so if it is not likely to migrate to other parts then I would probably just leave it, but a little peace of mind or knowledge would be fantastic,,
Thanks in anticipation of your guidance,,
Indi,,
