Hi guys oh and girls i have just bought my first land rover its a discovery 300tdi m reg its a very clean car came in at a garage i run as a px so snapped it up!
Iam hoping to tow my caravan with it that weights 1700kg as at the moment iam using my jaguar xjr which really is too good to be towing with it does make a good tow car with 400bhp but i just think it shouldnt be subjected to it.
Iam hoping to do a few mods to the disco but really want to get it up together first is there any pointers you can give me?
There is no rust on it anywhere and had it on the ramps at work and all looks ok.
Only thing that gets me going is the gear lever that rattles is that easy to stop it doing that other than that gearbox is fine no crunching or whining at all.
It pulls ok with no smoke ive done about 300 miles in it and its running fine have repalced the brake vac pump as that was noisey but other than that all good its done 125000 miles with full service history and every receipt since new including all the old mots this guy kept every bit of paper work on it from new!!!
