Im planning on rebuilding my 300tdi 90 CSW at some point but i want to keep it on the road as long as possible as its my daily drive, so i bought myself a discovery to use as a donor vehicle.

The plan is to strip the disco down and scrap/sell everything apart from the axles, engine, gearbox and transfer box. Then I'm going to refurb the axles and drop a new galvanised 90 chassis and bulkhead onto them, once the rolling chassis is sorted ill start striping my 90 down and building it back up onto the new chassis whiles doing a few upgrades.

So far i have completely stripped the interior of the disco and removed all the doors, my next job is to pull the engine out and then remove the body shell.

What is the best way to go about this, pulling the engine out is easy as i have access to an engine lift and i should be able to do it in a few weekends but how would i go about removing the body from the disco? i don't have access to a forklift or tele handler or anything like that so i would i be best cutting it off in bits???? i have a 4.5inch angle grinder and a broken plasmas cutter (the mosfet's have blown up so i need to find some new ones?

any advice on removing the body would be great as then i can start getting stuck into the rebuild properly
