I need to replace all my window channels on the door as the metal channels are rotten and the felt ones aren’t a lot of good so might as well do a proper job, any recommendations? Also where’s best for the repair sections for bottom and middle of the door. cheers

I`m waiting on all the parts but what sealant should I use for skin to frame, don't want anything as permanent as Tiger seal so is it just any type of body seam sealer. cheers

I used tiger seal, can be removed with a hot air gun if needed.

Use tigerseal, its what its for. Try not to get any frame to skin direct contact to avoid galvanic corrosion leading to paint bubbling.

Went with tiger seal in the end, skins fitted and painted, will build up and fit tomorrow.
Can’t seem to upload any photos

Fantastic work mate well done. I'm just in the process of doing the exact same.

Any tips for welding in the lower repair section? And also any tips on folding the skin over the frame?

I wet round putting small tacks of weld on each join to make sure it didn't get too hot and distort, just keep adding welds until all gaps are filled. 80 grit flap discs are you best friend, I ain't no welder lol.
When the frame is ready lay the skin over and make sure it fits where it should then put 2 beads of tiger seal on inner and outer edges then position the skin. I then tapped the skin flange over in about 6 places to hold the skin in place then flipped the door over on something soft. I bought a cheapo panel beating hammer and dolly set of eBay,it was white but done the job, make sure you hold a flat dolly directly behind where your knocking the skin over.
Where the skin wraps round where the window is you can't get it totally flat with a hammer so I put the flat of a chisel on it and whacked the side of the chisel..
Hope that helps

Thanks
