It's a friend's - honist!

Towed him home earlier today.
Plenty of oomf in the battery, immobiliser seems to be working normally.
Runs momentarily on easy-start and injectors getting their signals from the ecu.
Fuel pump relay tested OK (still no start when bypassed).

Looks like goosed pump or wiring to it, but where the fook is the pump?

Or any other advice / suggestions?

Give me a 200TDi any day!

it more than likly in the tank just lift you drivers side back seat forward you then can see your carpet undo it and puss it back a bit you then will see a metal circle undo the srcews and then lift it you will now see the top of the pump squeze the clips on the tubs and pull them out then you will need to knock the locking ring anti clock wise then the pump and gauge sensor out then put you new pump in following this backwards
hope this helps

No, the pump is not in the tank of a 56 plate - its just forward of the off-side rear wheel arch. :(

Its a dirty / wheel off job to reach it. A little plastic 'scrivet' must be removed to release the plastic cover and then there are 2 10mm bolts to remove before you can drop the filter / pump as one unit.

You could try giving it a whack with the ignition on - you should hear it run.

That's only a temp measure as the pumps usually go around 70K.

Good luck. :)

oops I thought that was the filter under the wheel arch wish they would not keep swaping things around mine did not go until 140000 it was playing up i took it out and the filter was cloged on the bottom i cleaned it but it compleatly failed a week later taking my wife to work what a day we were going out strait from work my wife usually goes in her own Freelander a proper landrover
