Hi,
Been lurking for a while, but signed up now that I have bought a 2004 Disco 2 as the second family car- currently have a Disco 3 as a first car and previously had a 200 Tdi Defender that I drove Dublin to Cape Town in 2003.
Disco 2 is a TD5 ES Premium with all of the options that were thrown on to the last of the production run. Paid very little and only realised when I got home that the PO had spent 4,000 on it in his 2 and 1/2 years of ownership between maintenance and repair at his local LR dealership and £2,300 in Frogs Island...that was on top of the 9k he paid for it...I just have to fix the drivers door lock and the leaky roof bar.
In short I got a very very good price. I dropped it straight into a professional detailing/ valeting place as it looks tatty - PO had horsey stuff and dogs in it and didn't bother to clean it before putting it up for sale. The black paint had seen much better days, so it's getting a complete make over. The guy doing it said he'd post photos on his Facebook page when he starts it next week so I put up the link for anyone that is bored.
