300tdi water pump removal

hi guys water pump squealing like a stuck pig , looks like bearings have gone as pulley is wobbling all over the place . started to dismantle but really struggling to get p/steering pulley bolts off ....any suggestions for a man with limited tools limited patience/inteligence and a big hammer !!!also is it possible to do the job leaving the fan in place ?

leave the belt on find a good fitting sockett (10mm) a long ratchett and give it a good wack with a hammer you realy need to remove the fan the nut can be taped rount with a hamer and a small bar but rember its left hand thread (but the propper spanner can be got from halfords)
