I recently changed the rear bumper on my 300tdi for one off a 200tdi without the light clusters in.
After changing the bumpers I just took the bulbs out of the holders and tucked them away. This led to the indicators double flashing! So I thought the solution would be to chop the holders off and bridge the wires. But this stopped all the rear lights including indicators from working. It had blown a fuse so I changed the fuse. I took the holders back off and don't know where to go from here!
Can anybody shed any light on my situation?
Thanks
Alex

Disconnect the shorted wires and use a 200tdi flasher unit.

The 300tdi needs all the bulbs to flash correctly. By bridging the wires, yu have shorted the output. Hence blown fuse.

Never connect a supply and earth wire together :mil90:

You can get dropping resistors off ebay that you can put in place of the bulb holders that simulate there is a bulb in situ. They are only about £5 a pair IIRC.

Cool I'll try this flasher unit first if I can then this will be my next plan of action
