300TDi rear bumper and lights

I took the lights out of my rear bumper yesterday, mainly because I smashed one of the lenses and don't want to buy a new one as I'll soon be making a tubular rear bumper. Since this, everytime I use the indicators, they flash ten to the dozen! Obviously because there is a bulb missing from the system. Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to fit a 200TDi flasher unit?

The easy fix is to fit the 200 flasher unit ..

Or tie the bumper lights and bulbs up somewhere else ..

Cheers Paul, I've taped the bulbs up and stuck them behind the rear bumper for the purpose of the MOT in the morning. I'll fit a 200 flasher unit next week sometime.

I think he means the 200 rear lights, which have the indicator as part of the cluster not a seperate light on the bumper.

The 300's have indicators as part of the main cluster but have additional ones in the bumper. Which have now been removed.

not all of them...mine only has indicators in the bumper...none in the main cluster

Mine has both ..

Mine has both also, nothing but probs with bumper bulb holders though, off to High Peak 4x4 tommorow to get some more.

hello pull both sets of wires back into the car behind the rear trim replace indicator bulbs and cable tie up out of way that should return indicators back to normal
